Welcome to L&J Waste Recycling!
Not so long ago, mountains of construction debris- concrete, sheet rock, wood, glass, boxes, paint cans - ended up in landfills.
But we have found a way to save space in landfills, thus preserving their life spans, while reducing the environmental impact of construction projects- L&J Waste Recycling recycles 75% of the construction debris collected from building sites.
A couple of years ago, construction waste went to landfills and was forgotten about. Today, we are finding ways to recycle the majority of it.
Recycled concrete, for example, is used in roadways. Wood products are transformed into mulch. Sheet rock, metal, glass, and vinyl are also recycled
We have recycled construction debris at some of the highest-profile projects in the Baltimore area, including the new Hilton Baltimore Convention Center Hotel, at Camden Yards, East Baltimore Development Inc's biotech campus near Johns Hopkins Hospital and a new $404 million Defense Department project at Fort Meade in Anne Arundel County.
Companies that do business with us are eligible for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) tax credits and because L&J Waste Recycling is minority-owned, you can also receive the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) tax credits.
We place dumpsters on construction sites, pick up the debris, sort it, and ship it to other companies for recycling. L&J Waste Recycling works on projects of all sizes - whether the project requires one dumpster or thousands of dumpsters.
L&J Waste Recycling started as a division of L&J Construction - now in its 16th year, and plans are being made to open a recycling facility in 2009, where we recycle instead of shipping it out.
Another highlight of using L&J Waste Recycling is the face that, once the recycling facility is complete, we will be hiring. So not only will you be working green, we will be creating jobs.
Take a look around the site, and please call us - L&J Waste Recycling is ready to help!
